Talk Without Speaking

So, how long has it been since I’ve tagged a post with ‘auyuittuq’? A few years, I suppose. But more are coming. Tomorrow, at 11pm, I once again head north to the Arctic Circle and the midnight sun.

I’m still throwing bits and pieces into my (please not 60lb) backpack so this won’t be too long.

Chasing Asgaard once again, I can’t help but marvel at the potential irony, that chasing a dream might very well reduce me to tears once I actually get there; it is of course my father that has inspired me to make the trip in 2003 and, very much so, again this time. And this time I won’t be showing him the pics or indeed telling him that I have finally made it to his photographed mountain. Heavy.

Chasing dreams. Knocking items off life to-do lists. I’m heading north and again leaving my ideas of space and time behind. Wish me luck; I’ll be thinking of you.
