I know where I’m sleeping tonight but not tomorrow. The next day is ok and then I have no idea for the next couple.
Such is the way of wandering around Europe I suppose; it is both exhilirating and stressful at the same time. It’s great to be completely out of the routine and the known but as much as I enjoy this I find that my brain looks forward to that time when my problem solving abilities are taxed with nothing more stressful than whether I want to buy a coffee on my way to work or not.
Edinburgh has been amazing and, even though I’ve visited here before, this has exceeed all my expectations. A city of the modern and the ancient, the incredible history is etched in every street. I find myself enthralled with Arthur’s Seat and the way the city light (when it stops raining) changes the colour of the inspiring rock.
I’ve been booking too many online international trains and hostels it seems; Visa had decided it has had enough and now my card is coming back declined. It is one more little stress as I head off to drive to Glasgow on the ‘wrong’ side of the street - throw myself at the mercy of whatever driving gods look after Scottish roads and all the one track lanes.
Wish me luck.
