After yesterday’s first meeting with a grief counselor I’m running spectacularly low on emotional energy so I don’t have much to say or maybe it’s just that I don’t have much to say here.
My Dad loved taking pictures and my whole life I’ve been looking at his slideshows. Since Dad and I both moved to digital cameras and living in different cities, we exchanged many many pictures back and forth, it was a bit of a weekend routine. Not every weekend but often enough. It’s one of the things I miss massively and since I can’t share this with him right now I’m going to share it here.
This picture makes me laugh. It was taken last August at Jay’s wedding in Edmonton. Because I was heading into Yoho right after the wedding I downloaded all my pics from the wedding onto Jay’s laptop so I would have all my camera space free for Yoho. It took me a while to get all the pics from both the wedding and Yoho organized afterwards and whereas Dad did see many of the Yoho pics, he never got to see the pics from the wedding. I think that he would like this one.
Because the above pic is so silly (I feel like Mr Dress Up) I’m also including this pic which also makes me laugh.
This doesn’t fall into a category of picture that I would have shared with my Dad but it amuses me just the same. My time-wasting, brain-distracting, 200+ DPSing, alter ego has never looked so beautiful. I hate putting on my armor now. I haven’t shared a pic of Tierney on my blog before now (that I remember); perhaps the full moon is making me brave.
