Ok..going to try to fulfill yesterday’s promise and come up with something positive to say. *Takes deep breath* Ok.
1. I’ll start with this horrific shift that I’m on. Things that are good about this shift are that I could conceivably get more sleep if I didn’t keep waking up at the time that I needed to wake up for making my way to the previous shift of 6am. I’m sure (I hope) this will iron itself out in a couple of days.
2. Shift good-thing #2. I can bike to work and I have for the past two days. I’m sorry but there was just no way in hell that I was getting on my bike at 5am. I’ve been called a hardcore cyclist before but I’ve already firmly established that there are limits to everything. Being back on my bike is good and it both whites out the worry and distracts me to the point where I can’t actually thing about *anything* not actively involved with keeping me and my bike alive. I’d go so far to say that it cheers me up.
*Wracks brain*. Hmm….gotta be something else.
3. Laurren comes home tonight. After picking her up at the airport after work we have an important date with some serious beer where will both fruitlessly try to forget about things. I’m not exactly sure what the point to doing this since it isn’t going to change anything but…regardless it is wonderful to have her home.
4. The sun. It was sunny today and I was thankful for it. Never been the type of person to be brought down by the weather but circumstances are different now, aren’t they? I haven’t been conscious of being brought down my near-record-breaking rain but I noticed the difference today when the sun was blazing.
5. Chucking the disc. Geoff dragged me out into what he promised me was “dusk” to huck the disc around today and, as hucking the disc around *always* is, it was awesome.
