Talk Without Speaking

Yeehah! Been on a mission these last couple of days to try to once-again repair the latest casualties on my blog. Ever since one of the past Apple updates, many of the links on my nav bar wouldn’t work. No links to archives, categories, specific posts or comments would work. Argh.

With a horrific inability to play WoW over this hotel’s truely crap wireless network I’ve been trying to hunt this blog culprit down and finally figured it out. Apple, in all of it’s wisdom, sees fit to overrite Apache’s config file when you update your OS. “You can’t possibly have made any changes in there that you wanted to keep?” seems to be the message that Steve and the gang give me.

File this in the geekery category: the changes had disabled the ability to use custom .htaccess files. Once I turned that back on everything worked like a charm.

Blog is now at 100% for the first time in…hmm…a long time and I can once again scoot back and see what I was doing a year ago or two years
