Oh baby! Here we go again!

As much as I really shouldn’t advertise the fact I can’t help but point out that U2 has announced their latest tour, the Vertigo tour. Although, somewhat frustratingly, there is only one Canadian date, it *is* in Vancouver so I really can’t complain too much, now can I?

Apparently they are playing these early North American dates, spending the summer playing through Europe and then, in the fall, returning to North America.

The tickets are neither on sale yet nor has it been announced when they will be going on sale but you can bet that it won’t be too long from now.

My heart was literally pounding this morning as I clued into the fact that they were going on tour again, clued into this fact via macnn.com who were commenting that some of the tour dates may have their shows recorded and then released within the iTunes Music Store. The Barenaked Ladies did the same thing on their last tour (although it wasn’t through the iTMS), releasing a recording of the concert that you had been at onto the net for download and I thought it was a fantastic idea.
