flurried week

ohh dear - I have been a spectacularly bad blogger of late - there’s way too much going on in this, my final week before vacation to Ottawa.

What have I been up to lately? Last week saw Eric Idle in concert at the Orpheum which was fantastically funny. Getting to see some of the skits that I’ve been laughing along with for most of my life live, at least once was completely precious - it was kind of like going to see that one Midnight Oil concert before they disbanded. When the crook appeared from off stage to drag away the lagging pianist I nearly wet myself; if you’re a Python fan then you know what I’m talking about.

Had my first tracks up at a snowy Whistler on Saturday, snow-shoeing for Scott’s surprise party on Sunday - this all combined to make my calves feel like solid steel on Monday and Tuesday.

Since we’re taking off next Tuesday this week has been replete with get togethers, Christmas parties, going away parties, festivities, celebrations, blowout bashes, balls and banquets. I can barely take more of this festive activity - I am so beat. More than anything I need to sleep but I don’t see mounds of this precious activity in my near future as this weekend is likely to be a continuation of the above with some frenzied packing thrown in for good measure.
