No reflections, damnit!

So, if you’ve been keeping apprised of my life you know about my new TBTM phenomenon. Not only Matchstick Men but Lost in Translation fell into this category. It’s not that either was a bad movie because neither was - it’s just that the trailer left such different expectations for what the movie was going to be about that I left disappointed. This all leads into why I was so (almost) entirely pleased with Underworld. The trailer made me think that I was going to a rip-roaring Matrix-esque shoot-em-up vampire vs. werewolf movie and, of course, this is exactly what you get.

So, yeah, some of the “acting” is truely horrific (cough…Kraven…cough) and the plot has more holes in it that the movie has minutes. All this still didn’t stop me from really enjoying this movie - my expectations were perfectly matched.

However, here is my one real beef with this movie…the vampires cast reflections. Gimme a friggin’ break! To the director, ” Do you know nothing about vampires? Have you not seen any vampire movie made in the last million years??? ARGH! How could you miss this??”

Ok - I’ve said my piece.
