Talk Without Speaking

Out of nothing, comes hope. While out for brunch this morning with Cat, Kim and Peter I bumped into Brian Scudamore from The Rubbish Boys. He mentioned that he had had a couple of calls from the RCMP on Friday. It sounds as though they were just corroborating information that they learned during the interview. The question I have is, why would they bother doing this if they weren’t still considering my application?? I know that their resources are fairly stretched and I can’t imagine them going through this process for someone that they weren’t still interested in…but then again it’s important to note that I am not an RCMP recruiting officer! More’s the pity.

Anyway, after all of this I wrote a letter to the recruiting dept basically pleading my case. The great thing about being at this point of things is that there’s really nothing to lose.

I also got an email from Craig who did take the time to call the recruiting department and plead my case as well. Not sure if this will have more of an impact coming from a RCMP officer but, as I said before, what’s to lose?
