Talk Without Speaking

Well, I’ve been out of the loop for quite a bit (and that sucks). I guess I can somewhat excuse (or explain) this by saying that my interview with the RCMP last week did not go as planned. In fact, they aren’t going to let me continue in the application process. I went in there and was honest about my past and present - laid everything out for judgement. Retrospectively I really don’t know if that was the right call to make or not… I really don’t know.

It’s a blow and no doubt about it.

That said, I have to say that one of the things that was discussed was friends. You have to list your close friends and talk about how often you see or talk with them. You might like to think that you never take your friends for granted but I know that that is not often the case. Anyway, it took listing them all to make me realize how fortunate I am to have the depth of friendships that I have.

Beyond this Catherine had insisted on coming along and ended up waiting outside in the car for three hours while I was inside. It was a blow to both of us, for sure but we have so much to be thankful for.

So, it sucks. I’m trying to stay positive.
